Breakfast Room Alcove Units

There’s a lot to love about this pair of alcove units nestled into the dining room of this Sussex cottage – designed as additional storage for the beautiful, but compact, bespoke kitchen. The cabinetry is spray painted in Farrow and Ball ‘Pitch Black’ – the colour choice instantly adds a sense of depth and formality to the interiors.

The cabinetry consists of timeless shaker style doors and flat panel drawers with antique style cup handles and cabinet latches in an aged brass – a beautiful combination. We’re all for the come back of reeded glass in interiors at the moment too – industrial yet elegant, we love how it gives you a slight hint of what’s inside without giving it all away. In this design it adds light and texture to an otherwise dark space – I’m sure we’ll be including this in a lot more projects to come!

One alcove unit stores breakfast items and appliances – which conveniently hides away all the small appliances of everyday kitchen life, leaving the worktops in the kitchen free and uncluttered. Morning times become a little easier – with everything organised in one space.

The other alcove is the evening option of the first! A drinks units – with plenty of space for a well stocked bar. The Carrara Quartz worktops are both a stylish and practical option for using the alcove units in this way. With finished oak veneer used internally for both the cupboards and drawers, a stunning construct to the dark cabinetry.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re after something similar for a dining or living room – each bespoke design is created around you, your interior style and what you are looking for in terms of practicality and storage.
