Our cabinet styles

Originating from the late 1700’s, the humble shaker silhouette is as admired just as much now. When it comes to choosing a design that will with stand the test of time; shaker cabinetry is just the right fit. Simple lines and an understated style, the quality of craftsmanship is reflected throughout. Most of our tall and wall cabinets within our designs are topped with a traditional pelmet which compliments the shaker style perfectly.

Shaker cabinetry is as well suited to contemporary homes and new builds as it is period properties. A skirting can be run along the base of the cabinetry which adds a touch of modern, whereas a recessed kickboard looks so at home in the picturesque cottages and farmhouses of the South Downs. If you’re looking for a balance of country style with a touch of luxury, a detailed framework called a cockbead can be designed to frame each door and drawer front.

Incorporating panelled backboards and end panels into a design adds something a little different – a touch of country charm. You can opt for flat end panels which compliments a more contemporary home or continuing the shaker detail throughout feels classically English and quite grand.
