Art Deco Bespoke Kitchen

A totally bespoke and very special project to work on – the creation of a handmade in-frame kitchen with Art Deco details. We had the pleasure of working closely with our clients throughout the kitchen design process and designed the cabinetry with unique touches that encapsulated their love of Art Deco. Subtle curves were added to the corners of the framework and more statement curves were included in the design for the kitchen island as well as in the fabrication of the Light Carrara quartz worktop.

A lovely big larder cupboard is included in a tall run of cabinetry with spacious internal drawers filled with cups and crockery. Spice racks are hung on the doors designed to fit perfectly below the decorative cut we templated around a decorative mirror hung in the hallway of our client’s home. This mirror gave inspiration for the pelmet detail – it’s stepped profile a nod to Art Deco architecture. We sourced ironmongery from Hendel & Hendel’s Fitzrovia collection – a statement design with a striking silhouette and so perfectly suited to the project. It’s difficult to pick a favourite detail – there are many beautiful bespoke details which make the finished space feel so personal to our clients and a compliment to their home.

Although the entrance way to the kitchen was tight for space, we designed a shallow freestanding dresser to fit in the space with a sunbeam detail on the glazed doors revealing the most wonderful pop of colour ‘Emerald Green’ from Farrow & Ball’s Natural History collection. The pretty shade of rosey pink ‘Nancy’s Blushes’ was chosen for the cabinetry’s hand painted finish. The colour palette for the space is vibrant and fun – a kitchen that would no doubt put a smile on your face when dining here.
