Flint Cottage Kitchen

A small but perfectly formed bespoke shaker style kitchen, and a little inspiration that you don’t need a massive amount of space to create beautiful interiors.

The room is painted in the deep and moody shade of ‘Livid’ by Little Greene – a seemingly perfect balance of blue, green and grey. The colour is softened by the soft natural tones of the Carrara marble worktop – its grey veining bringing a natural elegance to the space. Using a continuous colour throughout the cabinetry, walls and ceiling creates an illusion of space – a confident approach to colour has certainly added an undeniable atmosphere to this project.

A run of shaker style cabinetry spans the width of the room, each door hung on traditional butt hinges – a sign of quality and craftsmanship. Appliances have been kept integrated, tucked behind doors are several dishwasher drawers and a waste bin – the modern luxuries are not compromised at all within the design, simply hidden when and where possible. An aged brass Perrin & Rowe hot tap was the perfect choice for a room of this style – its patina becoming more appealing over time.

Paired with a beautiful palette of materials – tumbled limestone flooring, touches of antique brass throughout the design and dressed with a collection of wonderful things. Cosy, warm and a feeling of home – a bespoke shaker style kitchen with all the charm you would hope for in a cottage.
