Rowlands Road Wardrobes

Our luxury fitted wardrobes, nearing 3 metres in height, certainly get the award for the tallest cabinetry we’ve designed and made to date. And what a cool project it was to work on! A collection of stylish materials and heritage details – it’s hard to pick our favourite. The interiors of this master bedroom were inspired by those of boutique hotels – the brief was to create a stylish and relaxing haven for our clients to retreat to within their home.

Little Greene’s ‘Pompeian Ash’ sets the tone for this room – rich and striking in appearance, this dark grey green has been used throughout the space and certainly oozes a sense of luxury.

Behind the central doors to these luxury fitted wardrobes is a walk through to our client’s bathroom – a Narnia like entrance which would never loose its appeal. Fluted columns frame the tall shaker panelled doors, stepped out to add depth and grandeur. Antique foxed mirror is set within the doors – its aged patina adding warmth and texture to the interiors.

Storage has been constructed from a real oak veneer and we adore the contrast between outside and in – the grain of the veneer set against the painted framework. Internally, there’s hanging rails and shelving, internal drawers and shoe storage – carefully planned as a space for organisation and order. The height in this room enabled us to add a row of upper cabinetry within the design, topped with a traditional style pelmet. A dream project which we will look back on fondly.
